Section 1Who is responsible?

register.lu is operated by WebCMS S.à r.l., 278, route d'Esch, L-1471 Luxembourg, RCS Luxembourg B144728, the controller for the trackers the site sets.

Section 2What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored in your browser when you visit a website. It lets you stay signed in from one page to the next, for example, or lets the site measure its audience.

This page also covers similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), which the law treats the same way.

Section 3Strictly necessary cookies

The site cannot work without them, so they do not need your consent (article 4(3) of the amended Luxembourg law of 30 May 2005). They are used neither for audience measurement nor for advertising.

• accessToken (register.lu): your session once you are signed in to your account. Lifetime: 6 hours.
• rl_cookie_consent (register.lu): remembers your cookie choice and its date. Lifetime: 6 months.
• __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid (Stripe, on payment pages): fraud prevention for card payments. Lifetime: 1 year and 30 minutes.
• appData, language, previousPage, theme (browser local storage): your cart, your language, the page to return to after signing in and the light or dark theme. They stay until you clear them.

Section 4Audience measurement — Google Analytics

Set only if you accept the "Audience measurement" category. They tell us which pages are visited and where visitors leave an order, so we can improve the site. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.

• _ga (register.lu): tells visitors apart anonymously. Lifetime: 13 months.
• _ga_DBRFMJ301W (register.lu): keeps the state of the current visit. Lifetime: 13 months.

Section 5Advertising — Google Ads

Set only if you accept the "Advertising" category. They measure whether a visit or an order followed one of our Google ads, and may be used to show you register.lu ads on other sites.

• _gcl_au (register.lu): links a visit to the Google ad that brought it. Lifetime: 90 days.
• Cookies set by Google on its own domains (google.com, doubleclick.net), described in Google's cookie policy.

Section 6Before you choose: Google's consent mode

The Google tags are loaded in "consent mode" (Consent Mode v2). Until you accept a category, they neither set nor read any cookie of that category.

They may still send Google technical signals without any identifier or cookie (such as the time of the visit, the browser type and the page viewed), which Google uses to estimate traffic in aggregate.

Section 7Recipients and transfers

The data collected by Google Analytics and Google Ads is processed by Google Ireland Limited. It may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Fraud-prevention data is processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., our payment provider.

Section 8Changing or withdrawing your choice

Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page, or the button on this page, to change your choice. Withdrawing consent does not affect what was done before.

You can also delete cookies from your browser settings; the banner will then be shown again.

Section 9Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, or object to its processing, by writing to info@webcms.lu.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Luxembourg data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.public.lu).
